About Me

Welcome and Congratulations!

I am a licensed midwife that has been working with birthing mamas since 2001. I am a graduate of the National College of Midwifery located in Taos, New Mexico, and have completed a five-year apprenticeship under direct supervision of various local senior licensed and nurse midwives. I also apprenticed as a short-term student at Maternidad La Luz Birth Center in El Paso, Texas in the Spring of 2002.

I hold a current CPR and Neonatal Resuscitation card and maintain a midwifery license from the Montana Board of Alternative Health. Over the course of many years, I have worked with all kinds of women and all sorts of birth settings from home to hospital to birth centers. I truly love that women have the options and freedom to choose where they feel most comfortable to give birth.

I offer primary midwifery care to families looking to have a home birth and provide Montrice/Doula services to those choosing a hospital or birth center experience. My first and foremost goal in every birth is a healthy mother/baby. I aim to support and advocate for women finding their way to the birth they are hoping for. I strongly believe that women are capable of safely growing babies, birthing them and nursing them with their own power and support from midwives, family and friends. I provide information and resources to growing families and invite them to be an active participant in their own health care. I have a friendly working relationship with many OB/GYNs and other local midwives, doulas, chiropractors, naturopathic physicians, MDs, and massage therapists and counsellors.

I am the mama of four wildly amazing children and have a wonderful and supportive husband. We love and live in the heart of Missoula and when I'm not helping women and families such as yourself, you can find me hiking the trails, biking with my family, swimming in our rivers and lakes, sharing meals with my community of friends; always wishing there were a few more hours in a day and that my children would grow a little slower. I value everyday life as a gift and being part of my growing family, as well as yours, is a blessing that I am eternally grateful for.

I am available to meet, interview or ask questions via email, call or text. We can discuss what your needs and wishes are, as well as what your options are.

Let's get started on this new and exciting journey of life together!

To witness the birth of a child is our best opportunity to experience the meaning of the word miracle.
